Streets of Memphis - Sharing Jesus

Last week a brother in Christ from my church and I went to 2 different areas in Memphis. We walked around and talked to people about Jesus. We had some interesting conversations, but none of them took us by surprise. What amazes me is that everyone's response to the word of God and the call for holiness by the Lord is the same. Here were some of the responses from people:

"I'm not living for God right now, but when I get ready then I will live for God."
"I know I'm not livng for Him right now, but I will when I get ready."
"I'm not going to play with God like that and that's why I'm not serving Him now."
"We're all sinners."
"Everybody has their sin."
"I know what the word says."
"I know where I'm suppose to be."
"No weapon against me...you know what it says."
"I don't go to church."
"I'm not going to church right now."
"I go to the church on....street."
"I go to what's the name of that church?"
"I've been living for Him all my life."

I can keep going, but the point is that these people are really lost. First of all, they are not living for Jesus period. Most of these statements came from people who were under the influence of one or more substances. Secondly, these people can only partially recite what they heard, not what they live. What you live is what you believe. And finally, these people are merely "associated" with Jesus in that they have went to church at least once before. They are as close to Jesus as the earth is from Jupiter.

The sad reality is that this is truly where the great majority of people are. Just because you show up in church does not mean anything. It's what's really on the inside of you that matters. And if you talk to them and look at the fruit of their lives you clearly see what's on the inside of them. What you talk about all the time and what you do only affirm what you have been doing with your time. It will come to the surface sooner or later. Mark 7:1-23 covers this.

The time we spent sharing Jesus on the streets of Memphis this day only reiterated the fact that time is running out and people are perishing by the works of their own hands, their own pride, their own ignorance, and their flat out rejection of Jesus and a refusal to live holy as God is holy and commanded us to live. 2 Peter 3:1-12 covers this. Hell is forever people and it's going to hurt in unfathomable ways. God is extreme in blessing and cursing. You can live forever in His glory and presence in worship, joy, and peace forever. Or you can burn in the smoke of your torment day and night with wheeping and gnashing of teeth and worms and demons forever. It's your choice.

I know what you are thinking. You are saying "I'm definitely going to be with Jesus in heaven not burning." Is your life proof of this to God? God's cameras and recording accountability system never shuts off. It's real time all the time. See you next blog.

We're In This Together

MUMM Headquarters
Memphis, TN 8:07am CST
---------------------------

From the desk of Te`Luvv -

Recently I went to Lookout Mountain, GA for an FCA College Conference. It was during this conference that I had the pleasure of meeting more brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ. I handed out my cards as usual and charged each recipient to really stay connected and to know that we are indeed brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ. My hope is that each person will certainly make at least one visit to the website or listen to the music somewhere online (itunes or cdbaby.com) for the sole purpose of trying to draw nigh to God.

Reader, be encouraged today to know that God indeed loves you. He loves you because He created you and He is your heavenly Father. Why am I saying this? Because 1 Corinthians 15:19 says "If I had hope in this life only I'd be of all men most miserable." There is so much more to God than trying to get the next car or house or make a certain amount of money each year. God wants you and I to live a life where we deem Him to be trustworthy with our life. He wants to show us who He is. He has done enough to prove it publically, but He really wants to own you personally by showing you things in your life specific to you where you will wholeheartedly agree that Jesus is Lord and the Lord He is God!

Finally, please consider praying for us daily. We need direction, guidance, protection, money for ministry, laborers, etc. There have recently been a good number of requests for sermons. Go to the products page to listen to a few. We are starting a few different ministries in Memphis, TN. Both deal with evangelism and discipleship. I learned this truth last night at a Bible study that says "EVERYBODY'S RESPONSIBILITY SOON BECOMES NO ONE'S RESPONSIBILITY." With that being said, make some donations today. It is not a secret that in order to do ministry it takes money. No it doesn't take money to go to the grocery store and briefly share Jesus with someone looking for the same can of corn as you. But it does take ministry to serve the lost sheep of Israel. It does take money to drive places (gas money), hand out tracks (track money), challenge people to change their music with godly CDs (CD money), hand out Bibles (Bible money), etc. Instead of going to Olive Garden tonight, take Jesus to dinner and put money where He'd want it to go: TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD BEING PREACHED RELENTLESSLY.

Coming soon! NEW ALBUM BY TE`LUVV CALLED "FREE."

MUM Ministries Spring 2010

Hear ye Hear ye!

The Lord has impressed it upon my heart that "faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). As you already know, I have been traveling the US extensively, aggressively, and passionately with urgency to share Jesus with the lost. Over the past 18 months I have literally driven about 65,000 miles from coast to coast in all directions sharing the gospel of Jesus, preaching the gospel of Jesus, praying, hugging, shaking hands, laying hands, speaking in authority, etc. The conclusion of my travels in speaking to hundreds of thousands of people (possibly millions) is this:

FAITH COMES BY HEARING AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD.

This statement applies to both believers and non alike. Believers get an increase of the faith they supposedly have already. Unbelievers can't even "hear" without the word. That's why Jesus said "seeing they will not see and hearing they may not understand" Matthew 13:13-15. In other words no plant can grow without a seed. No one can have faith in Jesus without His word being spoken. It is imperative, vital, important and so forth that you clearly and distrinctively speak the word in whatever you do. If someone listens to your music and watches your life and they do not hear the word of God you are really defeating the purpose of following Jesus.

Jesus chose disciples and commissioned them to PREACH THE GOSPEL. A person cannot accept the sacrifice of Jesus (who is the propitiation for our sins, the ransom for many) without hearing, and their ears will not be opened outside of the word of God. To accept means to agree. To agree means to understand. To understand means to apprehend or to take into custody. Custody means the act or right of guarding.

So then, if we look at the word trail from the intial word ACCEPT, we see that after hearing the word of God a person comes to faith in God. After faith in God a person moves on to believe in God. After they believe in God a person acts out their newly developed belief by faith in what they heard and then they accept or take into custody or began to guard the word of God in their heart! They began to protect and take ownership of what they received from God: THE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS!

It all starts with the word. With that being said, I'm starting an evangelistic ministry. We will be evangelizing, teaching, and making disciples nationwide. This is the first of many more waves like this to come. I will be looking to you for your support. In about 30 days I will be ready. Made Up Mind Productions turns to Made Up Mind Ministires in Spring 2010. Get ready...start praying...
